Seize the Grey Wins the 149th Running of the Preakness Stakes
Seize the Grey pulled away from the favored Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike to win the 149th Preakness Stakes Saturday at Pimlico Race Course. Tv coverage began at 1:30 pm on CNBC and was available to stream on Peacock but will be re-broadcast at 4:30 pm.
Saturday's victory means the Triple Crown is no longer in play. The Triple Crown requires the same horse to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes. Seize the Grey won the second leg of the Triple Crown series after Rich Strike captured the Kentucky Derby.
The Preakness Stakes in 2024 will be run on May 18 and will be the 149th to be held.
